I filled up the crankcase with oil the other day, ran it around my mom-in-law's yard while we were putting up her fence (315 feet of chain link), and checked the oil at the end of the day, and it was almost gone.
What do I check first? I can't find my CD with my service manual on it, or I'd look at it first.

the 1st thing I would check is make sure you put the drain plug back and it's not leaking.....then is it smoking alot?

Not smoking at all, that's what's wierd.
That, and all of the plugs are in place.
It's bizarre. But, I checked the dipstick after using it for awhile again, and it seemed fine.
I dunno.

Did you change the filter as well? If so, according to the manual, the crankcase will need 2.1 quarts. I usually put in 2 quarts, then run the engine for about 5 minutes, then top off the oil (usually about another 4-6 oz).
Make sure, also, that when checking your oil, you do not screw the dipstick in, just push it in up to the threads.
